Metallica's Death Magnetic Being Sent Back to the Band on October 17th

Metallica's latest album "Death Magnetic" is suffering quite a backlash from fans for the way it was mixed. It suffers from over compression and severe lack of dynamics. This is a widespread epidemic that is taking over the music industry, known as the loudness war. There are many articles describing what exactly these flaws are and some of these articles are linked below. Despite these obvious flaws, Lars Ulrich, drummer for the band, has acknowledged the outcry and for the most part dismissed fan's complaints. There have been over 12,000 signatures added to the petition for a re-release of the album, mixed properly. There is currently a movement to mass mail the retail CD purchased by fans to the band's HQ. A target date of October 17 for the mass mailing.

Participants in this mass mailing are urged to determine the mailing date of the CDs to arrive at HQ on October 17. Of course this will depend on location and speediness of postal service.

SEND IT BACK!
